David Tews is a telecommunications business executive with proven results over a 30 plus year career.
A true Pioneer in the Cellular industry, David began his career in wireless in 1986 in Philadelphia with Metrophone. He managed, designed and built numerous towns, cities and highways of cellular networks in the Northeast United States. In the early 1990s, David became a partner of Americell, a rural cellular operator in the Northeast and Midwest. In the mid 1990s David was recognized as an authority on building and operating cost effective networks in rural America. Throughout his career he has continued to evolve his networks by adopting the latest technology available in the industry. In 2015 David started Xtreme Internet, a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), operating in conjunction with a cellular network. As a WISP, Xtreme Internet has deployed and analyzed numerous WISP technologies. As founder and CEO of XtremeLTE, David entered into a strategic partnership with Ericsson to distribute and support a value added LTE solution to the WISP and private LTE market. By strategically partnering with the leaders in the Broadband Industry, XtremeLTE is solving the challenge of bringing broadband to rural America.
SVP Development & Sales
McGowan supports existing T2, T3, utility, and enterprise clients who are currently deploying CBRS, fixed wireless, and Private LTE solutions focused on effectively managing assets and optimizing operations while minimizing capital expenditures.
A twenty-plus year veteran of the wireless industry, McGowan’s background includes numerous positions at Ericsson, Inc., including roles in sales, commercial management, product marketing, competitive analysis, and technical solutions. While at Globecomm, she was responsible for selling, promoting, and marketing hosted and managed IoT solutions. Recently departed from CalAmp Corporation, she supported customers in the telematics, asset tracking, and supply chain logistics space, globally.
She has deep knowledge of Tier-1, 2 and 3 mobile telecommunications operators both nationally and internationally and is experienced working across all enterprise verticals delivering fixed and mobile offerings spanning a global footprint.
McGowan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering degree from the University of Central Florida and Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Chief Technology Officer
Eric was raised in rural Pennsylvania. After graduation, he spent several years serving his county with the United States Army and Air Force. He returned to rural Pennsylvania and began his career in IT management and later in business network development and design.
Having been raised in and having returned to a rural community, Eric completely understands, and has witnessed for himself, the need to bring high speed internet and reliable products and design to all communities regardless of size or economic backgrounds. As CTO of Xtreme LTE, Eric assists other broadband service providers with bringing carrier grade products and network design to their communities. The goal of the broadband evolution for Eric is to leave no one behind or without the access that they need to live in a world that relies on technology.
Senior Director of Sales & Business Development
Kevin Ready is Senior Director of Sales and Business Development for XtremeLTE.
As Sr Director, Ready supports existing T2, T3, utility, and enterprise clients who are currently deploying CBRS, fixed wireless, and Private LTE solutions focused on effectively managing assets and optimizing operations while minimizing capital expenditures.
A seasoned telecom sales and business development expert with over 20 years of experience in wireless, Kevin has background in both the operator space with VoiceStream Wireless & T-Mobile as well as the equipment OEM vendor space with the industry leader Ericsson. Most recently at Ericsson Kevin was responsible for T2, T3 wireless operators and rural service providers as well as developing new channel partnerships to strengthen Ericsson’s ability to address smaller ultra-rural market players.
Kevin specializes in creating innovative business models to help rural and ultra-rural service providers monetize their networks in better more efficient ways. Stemming from his background he has a fundamental understanding of the total cost of ownership for network operators.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science for Business Administration from Fitchburg State University as well a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Manning School of Business, with focus in Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
Director of Program Management
A veteran of the US Navy, Mary has been a member of the Xtreme team since 2010. She contributes extensive experience in broadband installation, customer service and program management. She has a degree in Administration. When she is not working for Xtreme she is working on her Beef/Pork farm.
